Shahbaaz Husain

Shahbaaz leads the corporate practice of the firm. As a shareholder and the legal advisor of a multi-national company, Shahbaaz holds vast and comprehensive experience in the field of private equity, investment banking, corporate restructuring and M&A.

Graduating from Symbiosis Law School, Pune in B.B.A.L.L.B, Shahbaaz worked in a leading law firm of Bangalore for a period of two years, before he co-founded Precinct Legal. Shahbaaz also holds diploma in ‘Mergers in Acquisitions’ and completed one extra semester in Leibniz University, Hannover, Germany where he penned a thesis on ‘Anti-predatory Pricing Laws: A comparison between India and Europe’.

Shahbaaz has dealt with wide range of legal issues, spread across fields of law. He has particularly made a reputation for himself in the field of Energy Law. He has rich experience in representing Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) and all Electricity Supply Companies (ESCOMS) before Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC), Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) and the High Court in over hundred cases.

Shahbaaz advises and represents several corporate houses and start-ups as their legal advisor on a variety of legal issues and has been responsible for drafting of several corporate agreements, such as, Investment Agreement, Acquisition Agreement, Shareholders Agreement, Service Agreement, MOA, MOU, and Employee Agreements. Since the inception of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, Shahbaaz has represented several clients in the insolvency proceedings before the National Company Law Tribunals across the country.

A Mahesh Chowdhary

Mahesh Chowdhary leads the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice handling complex disputes on variety of legal issues for individual clients and multinational corporations, HNI individuals and government authorities.

Mr. Chowdhary has experience in Civil trial and appellate practice, having represented clients both at Domestic and International Courts in London in matters relating to intricate issues of Intellectual Property prosecution & litigation, recovery of damages, enforcement of contractual issues, tenders, Arbitration and white-collar crimes. Mr. Chowdhary has been lead counsel in complex matters dealing with amendment of Compassionate Appointment in State of Karnataka, constitutionality of Karnataka Organised Crime Control Act (KOCA) and Inter-State Water Dispute Act.

Mr. Chowdhary has particularly earned reputation in the field of Intellectual property and Arbitration apart from his experience in Civil Litigation in the Trial Court. He is currently on the panel of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board and advises them regularly on mechanism of reduction of pollution and defends across all forums.

Mr. Chowdhary pursued his under-graduation in University Law College, Bangalore and completed his Masters in Business Laws from National Law School Institute of India, Bangalore. He later graduated with Masters in Law, Intellectual Property from Queen Mary, University of London.
